Introduction

Founder of Ancestral Roots Wellness, Adam Keough walks the path of remembrance. A bridge between the ancient and the modern. As a dedicated Naturopath N.D. and lifelong seeker, Adam’s work weaves together ancestral medicine, global cultural wisdom, and the sacred language of nature itself.

His journey has taken him deep into the heart of forgotten traditions, working with knowledge keepers across the globe to honor and preserve the healing ways of our elders. Through the sacred medicines that have guided his own transformation, Adam has come to understand that healing is not only physical—it is spiritual, emotional, and ancestral.

A large part of Adam’s path is devoted to the sacred medicines and ceremonial work that have illuminated his vision. These allies—plant, mineral, and elemental—form the roots of his practice, reminding him to walk in balance with the Earth and with all of life.

Adam pays deep respect to the Ancestors of the Six Directions and the Four Elements, who continually offer their wisdom and presence as he supports others on their healing paths. His work is not only about remembering the old ways, but reviving them in a way that speaks to the heart of a new generation.

With every step, Adam holds the next seven generations in his heart—knowing that the choices we make today ripple far beyond our time. His mission is not only to heal the wounds of the past, but to plant seeds of wholeness, harmony, and sacred connection for those yet to come.

At Ancestral Roots Wellness, healing is not a final destination. It is a coming home—a return to the wisdom of the Earth, the nourishment of the ancestors, and the passions that first stirred our hearts.

A Love Born in the Kitchen

From an early age, Adam Keough discovered a profound love for cooking. It wasn’t just a skill—it was a way of connecting to family, to nature, and to the joy of bringing people together. This passion led him to the Culinary Institute of Canada, where he honed his craft and deepened his respect for food as both art and offering.

Working in some of the country’s most prestigious restaurants, Adam learned from esteemed chefs who challenged and refined his abilities. He mastered techniques, but more importantly, he learned how food can be a language of love, beauty, and community.

A Detour from the Heart

Yet, despite these achievements, Adam eventually found himself pulled toward other pursuits, as he felt that cooking in the way he had, was a one sided energy exchange. One fueled by gluttony and ego, instead of one walked with a pure heart. This led him to venture away from this passion, seeking external fulfillment over the joy that cooking provided. This path led to a period of unfulfillment, ultimately guiding him back to the heart of his calling—reconnecting with the Earth’s wisdom, the nourishing power of food, and the healing traditions of his ancestors.

The Naturopathy Pathway

Adam's journey of healing truly began when he embarked on his studies in Naturopathy. He believed it was essential to focus his attentions inward, first healing his own wounds, habits and ancestral traumas, prior to beginning his work as a Naturopath. This commitment to personal transformation has laid a strong foundation for his work, ensuring that he could guide others from a place of authenticity and wholeness.

Embracing the Ethereal

In that journey of return, Adam immersed himself in the transformative power of plant medicines, traveling the world and learning from ancestral knowledge keepers. He began to tap into the ethereal dimensions of healing, intertwining the physical and spiritual aspects of wellness. This integrative path continues to allow him to bring forward ancient wisdom, creating a space where the body, mind, and spirit can heal together. Through this synthesis of culinary art, plant medicine, and ancestral knowledge, Adam continues to guide others on their own journeys of remembrance and healing.
